Anti-Bark Collars
Anti-bark collars are designed to reduce excessive barking in dogs using various types of stimuli, such as vibration, ultrasound, spray (e.g. citronella) or electric impulses. Gentler, pain-free versions that give the dog a subtle cue that it’s barking inappropriately are the most commonly used. Electric impulse collars are effective, but their use is controversial and banned in some countries. Collars should always form part of a dog’s overall training and should be chosen with the dog’s sensitivity in mind, ideally after consulting a specialist.
