Pursuant to Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on Personal Data Protection (Czech), as amended, and in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data.
The purpose of this statement is to inform customers about the processing of personal data that takes place in connection with visits to the website of the Controller, as defined below, as well as about certain other cases of personal data processing where the personal data of customers or other persons are processed in the course of the Controller's activities. The personal data of data subjects will be processed in electronic form by automated means or in printed form by non-automated means.
1. Controller of personal data
Profi Pet s.r.o., with its registered office at Syrovice 644, 664 67, Syrovice, Czech Republic, Company ID (IČO): 29238170, File No. C 67642 kept by the Regional Court in Brno (hereinafter the “Controller”).
2. Processing of log files
When its website at www.zvireci-potreby.cz is accessed, the Controller processes log files relating to access to the website for the purpose of protecting its rights and legally protected interests. Log files are processed without the consent of the website visitor.
These log files are retained for a period of 3 months from the visit to the Controller's website. The processing of these log files is carried out by the Controller itself, or the Controller is entitled to engage a third party as a processor for this processing.
The following data are processed within the log files, which may or may not include the personal data of the website visitor:
- the website from which the visitor accessed the relevant website of the Controller;
- IP address;
- date and time of access;
- any query made by the visitor;
- HTTP response code;
- transferred data groups;
- information about the browser and operating system of the website visitor's computer.
3. Processing of personal data for sending newsletters
If a visitor to the Controller's website wishes to receive newsletters and other marketing communications, the visitor shall grant the Controller consent to the processing of personal data for this purpose. In such a case, the Controller will process the personal data provided by the visitor for these purposes, always at least to the extent of the e-mail address. If the website visitor also provides their identification data (first name, surname, address, telephone, personal website, Facebook or other pages, information about the visitor's animals, etc.), the Controller will also process these data for the stated purposes. Without consent being granted, the Controller cannot send newsletters.
The content of the newsletter may be personalised on the basis of the data provided and other data for content personalisation that the Controller derives from the visitor's behaviour on the website or in the newsletter.
The visitor's personal data will be processed if the website visitor enters their personal data in the relevant form and subsequently confirms their newsletter subscription in accordance with the instructions in the e-mail message received. If the subscription is not confirmed, the personal data provided by the visitor will be destroyed without undue delay.
The personal data provided are processed until the consent granted is withdrawn. The processing of personal data under this article will be carried out by the Controller itself, or the Controller will engage a third party as a processor.
Consent to this processing of personal data is entirely voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time by e-mail. The consent granted may also be withdrawn by clicking on the “Unsubscribe from newsletter” link in any newsletter or marketing communication sent.
4. Processing of personal data in connection with the purchase of goods in the online shop
When goods are purchased on the website www.zvireci-potreby.cz, the Controller is also in the position of the seller of the goods concerned. In view of this, the Controller will process the customer's personal data to the following extent: first name, surname, e-mail address, telephone and delivery address.
The processing of these customer personal data will be carried out for the purpose of performing the purchase contract between the Controller and the customer, delivering the ordered goods, and also for the purpose of protecting the rights and legally protected interests of the Controller.
The Controller will process the above personal data of customers for the period strictly necessary. Personal data stored in a customer account on the website will be retained until the customer account is deleted by the data subject (the data subject is also entitled to ask the Controller for deletion) or by the Controller. Certain personal data (e.g. personal data on an invoice issued by the Controller) will be retained for the archiving periods prescribed by law.
The processing of personal data under this article will be carried out by the Controller itself, or the Controller will engage a third party as a processor. Where the ordered goods are, at the customer's request, delivered to the address stated in the order, the Controller will also provide the customer's personal data to the relevant carrier.
5. Processing of personal data in connection with the handling of complaints
If a product complaint is lodged with the Controller, the Controller will also process personal data for the purpose of handling that complaint. The legal basis for this processing of personal data is the performance of the Controller's contractual and statutory obligations as the seller; this is therefore processing of personal data that does not require the consent of the person lodging the complaint.
In connection with the handling of complaints, the Controller further processes personal data for the purpose of protecting its rights and legally protected interests in the event of a possible dispute arising from the complaint. In this case, too, the consent of the data subject to the processing is not required. The duration, scope and other aspects of the processing of personal data for the purpose of handling a complaint depend on the Controller's obligation to settle the complaint in question.
The processing of personal data under this article will be carried out by the Controller itself through its own employees and its own customer helpline, or the Controller will engage a third party as a processor. Where the Controller considers it appropriate or necessary, the Controller may pass personal data on to its suppliers and manufacturers for the processing and settlement of the complaint, always depending on the product to which the complaint relates. Information about the specific supplier or manufacturer to whom personal data may be provided can be obtained by sending an e-mail enquiry to the Controller.
