Why choose Brit food for cats?

Cats are obligate carnivores — their digestive system is adapted exclusively to an animal-based diet with a high proportion of protein and minimal carbohydrates. Brit fully respects this biological need, building every recipe on a high proportion of quality meat. All the food is made in the Czech Republic under strict quality control certified to ISO, IFS and HACCP standards, in cooperation with vets and nutrition specialists. Brit does not test its products on laboratory-bred animals, and is the only Czech pet food brand to have continuously won the prestigious Czech Superbrands award every year since 2016.

Brit kibble for cats

Brit kibble for cats comes in both premium and super-premium quality for every life stage and specific need. The Brit Care range offers hypoallergenic, grain-free recipes with a high meat content for adult cats, kittens, neutered cats and cats with sensitive digestion or a tendency to gain weight. The innovative insect-protein variants from the Brit Care Sustainable range are ideal for cats intolerant to common meat types. Brit Premium by Nature delivers premium everyday feeding with a balanced formula at an affordable price.

Brit pouches for cats

Brit pouches for cats are a meaty complete or complementary food with a high meat content, suitable as an everyday part of the diet or as a tasty addition to kibble. Variants are available with chicken, turkey, lamb, salmon and tuna, in the form of pâté, sous vide or chunks in gravy or jelly. The pouches contain no artificial colours or preservatives and, thanks to their high moisture content, naturally boost fluid intake — which is particularly important for cats, who tend to drink very little.

Brit tinned food for cats

Brit tins for cats contain a high proportion of meat and offal and are suitable as a complete or complementary food. Single-meat variants are available for cats with food intolerances, along with combined recipes for a varied diet. Like the pouches, the tins are a natural source of moisture that supports healthy kidney and urinary tract function — the organs most commonly under strain in cats over the long term.

Brit treats for cats

Brit treats for cats are premium delicacies free from artificial preservatives and colours, available in a range of flavours and textures. They're suitable for everyday rewarding as well as a functional addition to the diet. The range also includes functional treats with added probiotics and natural extracts to support healthy digestion, immunity and vitality.

Brit vitamins and supplements for cats

Brit also offers nutritional supplements and vitamins targeted at cats' specific health needs. Natural salmon oil, as a source of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, supports a healthy coat and skin and proper immune function. Supplements are also available to support urinary tract health, healthy digestion and overall vitality — suitable both as everyday preventive care and as support for specific health issues.

Frequently asked questions — Brit for cats

Which Brit kibble is best for a neutered cat?

For neutered cats, we recommend the Brit Care Sterilised range, with adjusted energy and protein content to help maintain an optimal body weight after neutering. The recipes are grain-free, hypoallergenic and enriched with L-carnitine to support fat burning and maintain muscle mass.

Is Brit food suitable for kittens?

Yes. Brit offers special recipes for kittens in both the Brit Care Kitten and Brit Premium Kitten ranges. The recipes are enriched with DHA to support healthy brain and nervous system development, a balanced calcium-to-phosphorus ratio for strong bones, and an increased protein content for proper growth and muscle development.

Can I combine Brit kibble with pouches or tins?

Yes, combining kibble with pouches or tins is a natural and recommended way to feed cats. It increases fluid intake, adds variety to the diet and boosts palatability. We recommend combining products from the same range or with the same type of meat to avoid digestive upset.

Which Brit food should I choose for a cat with sensitive digestion?

For cats with sensitive digestion, we recommend the Brit Care Sensitive range, with a limited ingredient list and hypoallergenic formula. For cats with a confirmed food intolerance, single-protein variants or the insect-protein recipes from the Brit Care Sustainable range, which have low allergenic potential, are a good choice.
