A treat that makes it easier to give your cat medication.
Easy Pill® are specially developed treats for administering medication to chronic and geriatric patients, where, for example, forcibly giving several tablets even multiple times a day is not very ethical and can also be stressful for the animal.
They can, of course, also be used for a one-off administration of medication or for oral treatment lasting several days or weeks.
In addition to its distinct palatability, Easy Pill is very easy to shape and holds tablets very well, ensuring that tablets do not fall out of the treat. Whole capsules also adhere well in it, or several smaller tablets can be inserted into one treat at once. The treats can be divided according to the size of the tablets.
Composition:
Chicken meat meal, glucose syrup, water, rice starch, fat-based flavourings, preservatives, colourings and antioxidants approved in the EU, protein 28.2%, fat 12.2%, crude fibre 0.3%, crude ash 13.9%, moisture 16%.
Dosage:
Easy Pill is intended to be given in the feeding bowl together with food, at home or during hospitalisation. It is not intended for a one-off administration of medication to a stressed patient in the surgery.
Instructions for first use: If the animal has never encountered Easy Pill before, it is recommended to put a few pieces of Easy Pill without medication into the feeding bowl before the actual meal. If it eats them, the medication can then be inserted into one treat, and this treat, together with food and several empty pieces of Easy Pill, placed in the bowl. Once the animal gets used to this taste and texture, just one piece of Easy Pill containing the medication can then be given regularly with food.
Special notes for cats: It has been found that cats fix their taste impressions most strongly at kitten age. To help ensure that an adult cat will accept Easy Pill containing a tablet without problems, it is recommended to occasionally give kittens from 3 months of age 2 small pieces of this treat. This investment pays off many times over later on.
