Effitix Spot-On for Dogs XL (40-60kg) 4 Pipettes

For the treatment of dogs against infestation by fleas or ticks, in cases where a repellent (anti-blood-feeding) effect against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) or mosquitoes is also required.

Contains Fipronil, Permethrin.

Effitix Spot-on for dogs works:

• against fleas: treatment and prevention of flea infestation (Ctenocephalides felis). Fleas present on dogs are killed within 24 hours of treatment. A single treatment provides uninterrupted efficacy against reinfestation by adult fleas for 4 weeks
• against ticks: a single treatment provides uninterrupted acaricidal efficacy against tick infestation (Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus and Rhipicephalus sanguineus) for 4 weeks
• against biting insects - sandflies and mosquitoes: a single treatment provides a repellent (anti-blood-feeding) effect against sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and against mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes aegypti) for 4 weeks

It can be used as part of a strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD) that has been diagnosed by a veterinarian.

Administer by topical application to the skin, 1 pipette according to the animal's weight.

Method of application: remove the pipette from the blister. Hold the pipette upright. Tap the narrow part of the pipette to ensure the contents are in the main body of the pipette. Snap off the break-off cap of the pipette along the marked line. Part the animal's fur so that the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette directly on the skin and squeeze several times so that the contents of the pipette, depending on the animal's live weight, are emptied onto two to four different spots along the dog's spine, from the withers to the base of the tail

Recommendation: fleas from pets often infest animal carriers, places where animals sleep and rest, such as carpets and furnishings, which in the event of a massive infestation and at the start of control measures should be treated regularly with suitable insecticides and vacuumed
