The head is guided by the pull, the body follows automatically. The original patented HALTI headcollars have been made since 1995 by the veterinary surgeon and owner of the English dog school The Animal Behaviour, Mr Mugford. The headcollar is padded in the muzzle area.

HALTI moves the connecting point between owner and dog, on the principle of a horse bridle, from the neck forward to the muzzle
