Bafpet EXCLUSIVE Leather Collar 59cm/40mm Grey

Elegant and comfortable collar made from soft cowhide leather

Leather collars are a popular choice for their elegance, comfort and long lifespan. They are soft, mould well to the dog's neck and, with proper care, will last for years. Leather is a natural material that breathes and does not chafe the coat. It is important to clean the collar regularly, protect it from excessive moisture and treat it so that it stays supple and does not crack. A quality leather collar is not only beautiful but also a practical accessory for every dog.

Leather collars EXCLUSIVE are made from very soft, high-quality leather. They consist of two identical layers; the underside, the so-called bomber layer, is always black, and the buckle and welded D-ring are made of stainless steel. The keeper loop is leather, in the same design as the collar.

How to measure a collar correctly?

For the collar to fit the dog well and be comfortable, it is important to measure the circumference of its neck correctly.

• use a soft tailor's tape measure – wrap it around the widest part of the dog's neck, where it normally wears the collar
• leave room for two fingers – the tape should be neither too loose nor too tight. You should be able to slide two fingers underneath it
• check the collar's adjustable range – if buying an adjustable collar, choose one where your dog's neck circumference falls roughly in the middle of the range

A properly fitting collar should be comfortable enough not to choke the dog, yet snug enough that it cannot slip out of it.
