Dallas Rabbit Hutch with Run 130x86x112.5cm A.K.
A two-storey outdoor rabbit hutch with a covered run, a hutch with a pull-out tray, and a removable ramp between the levels.
A two-storey outdoor rabbit hutch gives rabbits and other small mammals room to move around and rest. The covered lower level with an open bottom serves as a run and grazing area, while the upper level serves as a cage. Thanks to a pull-out drawer with a metal base, the cage can be easily cleaned. A removable ramp allows easy movement between the levels. The upper level can be closed off if needed. The hutch has a door on the lower level and two doors on the upper level – one with wire mesh and the other with a plastic panel. An overhanging bitumen roof protects the hutch from bad weather. To keep the wooden structure from being in direct contact with the ground, it is fitted underneath with low plastic feet.
The hutch is supplied disassembled, with pre-drilled holes, a set of screws and assembly instructions. The wooden parts are treated for outdoor use. To make them more resistant to mould and rot, it is recommended to coat them with a transparent, non-toxic, water-based varnish.
Recommendation: Rabbits do not tolerate draughts, harsh sun, damp and large temperature fluctuations well. Position the hutch so as to minimise these weather effects. Since the lower run has no floor, also make sure the rabbit cannot dig its way out!
