LEONARDO® Kitten was developed with the needs of the very youngest kittens and the entire subsequent growth period in mind. To ease weaning it contains dairy products, and for correct development, a high amount of tender chicken meat.

Like all mammal offspring, a kitten does not have a fully functional immune system. What's more, kittens are more susceptible to infections than, for example, puppies. In the period after weaning, a kitten's defences are at their least effective for some time, the body lacks antibodies from the maternal organism and mother's milk, and its own system is only just developing (the so-called immune window period). To support the development of a strong immune system, LEONARDO® Kitten contains the ProVital complex.

The basis of its function is beta-glucans, natural substances extracted from yeast or fungi. They have been shown, both in the laboratory and clinically, to have a very significant effect on strengthening the development of the individual's immune system, as well as on inducing the maximum possible function of the cellular component of the immune system. So with every portion of kibble, your kitten gets, besides all the nutrients it needs, an effective protector against infections.

Valuable Antarctic krill (tiny marine crustaceans) is also added to the food. It is a source of astaxanthin, a very pronounced antioxidant that protects against inflammation and helps maintain strong immunity. Krill is rich in glucosamine, which nourishes cartilage and joints. It is also a source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are present here in the form of phospholipids, which have better bioavailability.

This recipe contains no cereals. Wheat and maize are among the common allergens, which is why potatoes, amaranth and peas are used here instead.

ProVital - reduces sensitivity and increases the cat's resistance to illness. This stimulating effect is very positive especially in sensitive cats and kittens.

STAY Clean™ - this is a complex of substances applied to the surface of the kibble so that, even in the short time the kibble is in contact with the teeth, it helps clean them of dental plaque.

For kittens being weaned, it is advisable to moisten the kibble with lukewarm water.
