The eggshell membrane is a rich source of collagen, glycosaminoglycan and elastin - substances necessary for joint nutrition. These membranes appear in the meal as small elastic pieces. Shells are a natural raw material, similar to bones. The dog is very well adapted to digesting them and to using the calcium from them. Finely ground eggshells easily coat raw meat, are easily worked into minced meat, tinned food, wet side dishes, or into kibble soaked in oil or broth. They do not affect the taste or smell of the food. One gram of ground eggshells contains 350 mg of pure calcium.
