The automatic self-cleaning litter box is a practical aid for households with one or more cats for easily keeping things clean. 

The cat litter box is suitable for all types of litter, but works best with clumping litter for easier handling. Built-in sensors detect when the cat has used the litter box and left, so that it can switch on the quiet motor, which sets the removable metal rake  in motion. The litter is then raked over, the solid waste is caught and travels to the end of the litter box, where it is dropped into a covered bin. When the litter level is low, the motor switches off automatically and waits for the litter to be topped up before the next run and high walls prevent litter from being scratched out of the box.
