Undenatured (native) type 2 collagen (UC-II®)
UC-II® is an innovative ingredient with a unique mechanism of action. It activates the immune system to initiate anti-inflammatory and cartilage-protecting regenerative processes. An effective way to help relieve joint stiffness and support their mobility.
How does UC-II® (undenatured type 2 collagen) work?
1. The immune system recognises UC-II® in the gut and sends a signal that triggers a response from the body's defence mechanisms.
2. Immune system cells (white blood cells) that specifically recognise type 2 collagen spread through the body via the bloodstream.
3. After recognising type 2 collagen in damaged joint cartilage, white blood cells begin to release cytokines, which have strong anti-inflammatory properties and support cartilage regeneration.

Use: Easy to give – administer as a treat or reward.
Dosage:
- Dogs up to 30 kg: 1 treat daily
- Dogs over 30 kg: 2 treats daily
- 1 chewable tablet contains 40 mg of undenatured type II collagen.
- For optimal effect, combine the administration of Beaphar Flexifit® chewable tablets with a suitable diet.
Caution:
- Always ensure fresh drinking water is available.
- Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
- Before use and before extending the period of administration, we recommend consulting a veterinarian.
