SAFETY WARNING: When using the device, it is necessary to observe safety precautions. This will prevent damage to the product and injury.

The following precautions must be observed:
1. Before using the product, carefully read the manual and follow all safety instructions and all important notes. Failure to do so may result in damage to the device.
2. DANGER – To avoid electric shock, it is important to be aware that when using this electrical device there is water placed in the waterfall. None of the parts can be repaired by the user. Do not attempt to make repairs yourself; take the device to an authorised service centre or dispose of it. NOTE: The only mechanical part requiring regular maintenance is the impeller located in the pump.
3. This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience or knowledge, unless they are supervised or have been instructed by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
4. When you are not using the device, want to fit or remove any of the parts, or are about to clean the device, always pull the plug out of the socket. Never pull the plug out of the socket by pulling on the cord. Grip the plug and remove it from the socket.
5. Before immersing your hands in the water in which the device is located, always first disconnect the plug of this and all other submersible appliances.
6. The pump must be submerged in water (maximum water temperature 35 ° C / 95 ° F). The pump must not run dry.
7. Do not use this product for purposes other than those for which it is intended. The use of accessories that are not recommended or are not sold by the manufacturer of the device may lead to a dangerous situation and to damage to the device.
8. Do not install or store the device where it would be exposed to the weather or to temperatures below freezing. It is intended for indoor use only. 9. Do not expose the appliance to sunlight or expose it to low temperatures for extended periods.

FLOW CONTROL – NOTE: The water flow can be increased or decreased using the sliding gate that controls the water flow (the gate is located on the impeller cover).
MAINTENANCE – WARNING: To prevent possible injury during handling, disconnect all devices from the socket when not in use. Disconnect the plug of this pump and of all other electrical equipment used for the terrarium or paludarium before placing your hands in the water, and only then carry out any maintenance. The pump motor is hermetically sealed, which requires no lubrication or maintenance. Do not open the motor housing. The impeller cover, even though it is self-cleaning, requires regular maintenance (removal of dirt and other deposits). This will ensure smooth running of the impeller and extend the service life of the pump.

CLEANING THE PUMP:
1. Disconnect the pump and remove it from the waterfall.
2. Dismantle the impeller cover by first removing the intake strainer and then the impeller cover.
3. Grasp the impeller and remove it completely from the unit.
4. Thoroughly clean the impeller of any unwanted dirt.
5. Put the impeller back into the pump. Refit the impeller cover and then fit the intake strainer.

NOTICE: Do not use cleaning agents or other chemical products to clean the device.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If the pump does not work, check the following:

NO FLOW: Check that the power is switched on. Check the circuit breaker or try another socket to make sure the pump is receiving electrical power.
NOTE: Before handling the pump, always disconnect the pump from the electrical power supply. If the power works but the pump does not, it may be clogged with dirt. Disconnect the pump, check the intake strainer for clogging, and then clean the impeller according to the maintenance instructions.

LOW FLOW: Verify that the flow control is set correctly. Check the waterfall outlet tube to make sure it is not clogged with dirt. Check the pump intake strainer for clogging with dirt. Then clean the impeller according to the maintenance procedures.

PUMP REPLACEMENT: If the waterfall pump needs to be replaced, it can be purchased from your local Repti Planet dealer.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Do not submerge the entire waterfall in water. Not suitable for aquariums. Ensure that the pump is permanently submerged; do not run the pump dry. For indoor use only. Clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not pull on the cable. Do not use if the cable is damaged. Do not use if the waterfall is cracked or damaged.
