Silkworm larvae are a suitable dietary supplement, especially for KOI carp, to which they provide the necessary energy and support even growth and colouring. They are also suitable for insectivorous birds (exotic, wild, poultry), small mammals (rats, black rats, hamsters, hedgehogs, squirrels), reptiles, and also for dogs and cats.
Silkworm larvae contain a high proportion of protein (53 %), fat (27 %) and fibre (3 %). They have a very good amino acid composition and contain an above-average amount of vitamin B1, B2 and B5. They have a distinctive taste and smell, which is why they are very popular with animals.
