It is particularly recommended for Type 2 diabetes and increases the effect of insulin therapy in the case of Type 1 diabetes. It is also suitable for reducing the animal's body weight.

Mode of action:

Farmina Vet Life Diabetic is a food with a reduced content of hyperglycaemic carbohydrates. A higher content of soluble fibre modulates the release of nutrients in the animal's digestive tract. A higher content of insoluble fibre supports the animal's feeling of satiety. The use of high-quality raw materials aids the nutritional recovery of weakened individuals. Low energy value and a high content of protein and fibre act preventively against obesity in young individuals.

Method of use:

It is recommended to seek your vet's opinion before starting your dog on the food and before extending the period of use. The product is ready for direct consumption according to the recommended daily dosage given in the table. The recommended feeding period for diabetic patients is up to 6 months. In the case of obesity, use the food until the animal reaches its ideal weight, covering approximately 60% of the animal's daily energy requirement. The stated percentage may vary depending on breed, environment, physical exertion, disposition and severity of the condition. Ensure your dog has access to a bowl of clean, fresh water throughout the day, to keep the animal as hydrated as possible.
