BIDIRECTIONAL ACTION - the Vet Expert Renal Elimination diet was designed for dogs with renal failure and food intolerance . The diet is characterised by a single-protein, gluten-free formula, meaning that the only source of animal protein is rabbit and the only source of carbohydrates is brown and white rice.
Renal Elimination is characterised by a controlled level of protein and phosphorus, and the addition of cranberries is intended to provide additional protection for the lower urinary tract. Linseed, added to the formula, is a rich source of Omega-3 acids, which have antioxidant properties – something especially important in the case of chronic renal failure.
Why RENAL ELIMINATION?
- Bidirectional action – support in the case of renal failure combined with food intolerance
- Single-protein diet – rabbit
- Gluten-free diet – only brown and white rice

Feeding recommendation: The diet covers the nutritional requirements of an adult dog. Daily starting doses are given in the table above. Daily doses should be divided into two or more meals. If the dog needs a larger amount, the daily food intake should be increased accordingly. A new diet should be introduced gradually by mixing it with the previous food over a period of about 2 weeks. Introducing the diet and extending its period of use should be done in consultation with a veterinarian. In the case of chronic renal failure, the initial period of applying the diet should not exceed 6 months. In the case of intolerance to ingredients and nutrients, the length of the diet should be 3 to 8 weeks, and if the intolerance symptoms disappear, the diet should initially be maintained for up to one year. The dog should have constant access to fresh, clean water.
