WeJoint Plus Large Breeds 30 tabs - Joint Nutrition
A nutritional supplement for dogs, developed to provide dietary support and strengthen healthy joints.
A nutritional supplement for dogs, developed to provide nutritional support and strengthen healthy joints.
It is recommended for young and growing animals, animals with high physical activity, and in any joint condition (inflammatory, traumatic, degenerative, or joint immobility).
WeJoint® Plus guarantees, in every product, joint reinforcement and a regenerative effect, as well as pain and inflammation control.
Joint pathology has a high incidence. It can result from excessive strain on healthy joints or from normal loading of a predisposed joint.
The right approach, whether preventive or therapeutic, makes it possible to restore quality of life or prevent the development of joint pathology in animals. The key factor is the use of demonstrably high-quality chondroprotective agents.
WeJoint® Plus provides higher and better control of effectiveness against inflammation and pain.
Joint surfaces are covered with cartilage, which is responsible for absorbing impact, facilitates (movement) gliding, and is essential for the formation and growth of long bones. Cartilage is made up of chondrocytes and extracellular matrix.
Chondrocytes are responsible for producing the components of cartilage, namely collagen and proteoglycan matrix. The synovial membrane produces synovial fluid with viscoelastic and lubricating properties.
Proper functioning of this complex keeps joints healthy and functional. Once inflammation occurs, inflammatory mediators and enzymes trigger a negative process, reducing the formation of the structural components of cartilage and promoting its degradation. This process leads to a loss of joint flexibility and high levels of pain.
It is essential to stop this process of degradation and inflammation, as well as the pain, which leads to an improvement in the animal's quality of life.
WeJoint® Plus combines the action of several components, resulting in a complete approach to the treatment of joint pathology. This recommendation also applies to young and growing animals.
GLUCOSAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE
Essential for the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans, components of cartilage and synovial fluid. It enables increased mobility, flexibility and load-bearing capacity of joint structures. The hydrochloride form has higher bioavailability.
HARPAGOPHYTUM PROCUMBENS – DEVIL'S CLAW - (Standardised purified extract)
Has an anti-inflammatory and analgesic effect, particularly in the treatment of painful joint manifestations. Studies show that it inhibits arachidonic acid metabolism, cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase (LOX), reducing the production of eicosanoids such as prostaglandins. With regard to COX inhibition, devil's claw appears to inhibit COX-2 but not COX-1, which explains its high tolerability and reduced side effects, unlike NSAIDs, which inhibit both forms of the enzyme.
CHONDROITIN SULPHATE
Supports the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans in chondrocytes, which give cartilage its ability to absorb impact. It also maintains the balance and water content in cartilage, and together with collagen provides tensile strength. It also functions to keep synovial fluid fluid and healthy.
METHYL SULPHONYL METHANE (MSM)
Able to reduce and control pain resulting from disease processes. Enables increased joint mobility and provides a clear improvement in quality of life.
KRILL OIL
Krill oil contains the purest essential bioactive fatty acids - Omega 3 – eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) – with proven effectiveness in controlling and influencing anti-inflammatory mediators (cytokines and leukotrienes) and COX-2 genetics. It also contains astaxanthin, the most powerful antioxidant among carotenoids, with anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects.
VITAMIN C
The body's primary antioxidant. Ascorbic acid neutralises the effects of free radicals in the joints. It also plays an important role as a metabolic cofactor in joint processes.
ZINC SULPHATE
A key dietary trace element, essential for enzymatic processes throughout the body. It is particularly important in cartilage formation.
TYPE II COLLAGEN
Collagen has a structural role in joints and is the main component of cartilage. Type II collagen has a specific effect in joints, reducing inflammation as well as the degradation of collagen in the joint. The presence of type II collagen leads to a reduction in the immune response and in the expression of collagenase, responsible for the destructive cycle of cartilage.
MANGANESE
This trace element is the most common cofactor for glycosyltransferases, essential enzymes in the synthesis of proteoglycans, necessary for the formation of cartilage and bone.
