Wolves hunt their prey from the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, to the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. This gives them meat and offal rich in nutrients, but also vegetables, fruit, berries, roots and herbs from the stomach contents of their prey. Grain is not included here. In this way, the wolf takes in the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and secondary plant substances it needs. The individual ingredients of JACK RABBIT food have been put together with veterinarians to match the natural behaviour of the wolf as a predator and current knowledge of holistic canine nutrition. Wolfsblut dry food is therefore unique.

• Potatoes: They provide complex carbohydrates and fibre, are low in fat and contain 15 different vitamins, minerals and trace elements, such as magnesium, iron, zinc and phosphorus, as well as a high proportion of potassium, B vitamins and vitamin C.
• Sweet potatoes: According to the American health authority CSPI, they are one of the richest vegetables thanks to their valuable fibre and high content of beta-carotene and vitamin E.
• Pumpkin: One of the lowest-calorie vegetables and rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, minerals and phytosterols. The fibre it contains is highly digestible and aids digestion.
• Quinoa: Besides being high in protein, this pseudo-cereal contains eight essential amino acids and is rich in fibre, unsaturated fatty acids, magnesium, calcium and iron.
• MOS: is a fibre and can improve digestion and strengthen the immune system
• FOS: belongs to the prebiotic fibres. It can keep the gut flora in balance and is considered a natural opponent of E. coli bacteria.
• Dandelion: It impresses with many minerals, such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.
• Elderberries: These black-blue berries contain, besides anthocyanins, plenty of vitamin C and folic acid. The sambucyanin pigment they contain is also said to have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Trace elements: iron (as sulphate, monohydrate and iron (II) chelate, amino acid hydrate) 95 mg, zinc (as zinc sulphate, monohydrate and zinc amino acid chelate, hydrate) 150 mg, manganese (as manganese sulphate, monohydrate) 36 mg, copper (as copper sulphate, pentahydrate and copper amino acid chelate, hydrate) 15 mg, iodine (as calcium iodate, anhydrous) 0.96 mg, selenium (as sodium selenite) 0.15 mg.
