The individual ingredients of the WILD DUCK GIANT food were compiled together with veterinarians to suit the wolf's natural prey behaviour and knowledge of holistic canine nutrition. Wolfsblut dry food is therefore unique.

• Potatoes: Provide complex carbohydrates and fibre, are low in fat and contain 15 different vitamins, minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, iron, zinc and phosphorus, as well as a high proportion of potassium, B vitamins and vitamin C.
• Elderberries: These black-blue berries contain plenty of vitamin C and folic acid in addition to anthocyanins. The sambucyanin pigment they contain is also said to have an anti-inflammatory effect.
• Aronia berries: Aronia contains large amounts of plant substances said to have particular health benefits, such as flavonoids and phenolic acid.
• Dandelion: Impresses with many minerals such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.
• Linseed: The fibre and mucilage in the small seeds have a positive effect on digestion and contain a high proportion of polyunsaturated Omega 3 fatty acids.
• Jerusalem artichoke: Contains a high proportion of inulin, which has a prebiotic effect and stimulates the growth of healthy bacterial strains in the gut. A healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
• Ginseng: Used in Asia as a medicinal plant. The reason is the plant's high nutrient content, being rich in amino acids, vitamins, copper, iron and calcium.
