Wolves hunt their prey in the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, and even in the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. The individual ingredients of GRAY PEAK LARGE BREED food were put together in cooperation with vets in line with the natural prey pattern of the wolf and the findings of holistic canine nutrition. This is what makes Wolfsblut dry food unique.

• Sweet potatoes: According to the American health authority CSPI, thanks to their valuable fibre and high content of beta-carotene and vitamin E, they are among the vegetables richest in nutrients.
• Pumpkin: One of the lowest-calorie vegetables, rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, minerals and phytosterols. Thanks to the fibre it contains, it is very easily digestible and aids digestion.
• Jerusalem artichoke: Contains a high proportion of inulin, which has a prebiotic effect and stimulates the growth of healthy bacterial strains in the gut. A healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
• Blackberries: These berries contain particularly high levels of magnesium and iron. Blackberries also outperform their domestic relatives in terms of provitamin A and vitamin E content.
• Elderberries: Besides anthocyanins, these black-blue berries contain plenty of vitamin C and folic acid. The pigment sambucyanin is also said to have an anti-inflammatory effect.
• Chokeberries: Chokeberry contains large amounts of plant substances that are said to have special health benefits, such as flavonoids and phenolic acids.
• Flaxseed: The fibre and mucilage in the small seeds have a positive effect on digestion and contain a high content of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids.
• Dandelion: Contains many minerals such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.
• Fennel: Rich in essential oils that are beneficial for digestion and the gut. It also contains vital substances such as potassium, vitamin A, folic acid, vitamin C and silicic acid.
