Wolves hunt their prey from the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, mountains and forests of Europe, to the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. This provides them with meat and nutrient-rich offal, but also vegetables, fruit, berries, roots and herbs from the stomach contents of their prey. Cereals are not included here. The individual ingredients of COLD RIVER PUPPY food were put together by veterinarians to match the natural prey behaviour of the wolf and the latest findings on holistic canine nutrition. Wolfsblut dry food is therefore unique.

• Sweet potatoes: According to the American Food and Drug Watchdog (CSPI), one of the richest in nutrients
• Pumpkin: One of the lowest-calorie vegetables and rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, minerals and phytosterols. The fibre it contains is highly digestible and aids digestion.
• Jerusalem artichoke: Contains a high proportion of inulin, which acts as a prebiotic and stimulates the growth of healthy bacterial strains in the gut. A healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
• Dandelion: Provides an abundance of minerals such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.
• Fennel: Rich in essential oils, which are beneficial for digestion and the intestines. It also contains vital substances such as potassium, vitamin A, folic acid, vitamin C and silicic acid.

Composition:

Fish 54% (of which fresh trout 25%, dried salmon 23%, salmon oil 5%, salmon broth 1%), sweet potatoes 14%, potatoes 14%, pumpkin, chickpeas, alfalfa 1.2%, minerals, fennel, Jerusalem artichoke, parsnip, mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS prebiotic), fructo-oligosaccharides (FOS prebiotic), citrus extract, yeast, spirulina, tomatoes, Mediterranean herb blend 0.5% (thyme, marjoram, oregano, parsley, sage), seaweed 0.1%, nettle, hawthorn, dandelion, ginseng, Yucca schidigera extract.

Additives per kg: vitamin A (as retinyl acetate) 25,730 IU, vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol) 1,730 IU, vitamin E (as all-rac-alpha-tocopheryl acetate) 835 mg.

Trace elements: iron (as sulphate, monohydrate and iron (II) chelate, amino acid hydrate) 95 mg, zinc (as zinc sulphate, monohydrate and zinc amino acid chelate, hydrate) 150 mg, manganese (as manganese (II) sulphate, monohydrate) 36 mg, copper (as copper sulphate, pentahydrate and copper amino acid chelate, hydrate) 15 mg, iodine (as calcium iodate, anhydrous) 0.96 mg, selenium (as sodium selenite) 0.23 mg.

Amino acids: DL-methionine 2,126 mg, taurine 1,000 mg, L-carnitine 82 mg.

Dosage

 NOTE: The feeding table has been adjusted so that it is now given in months rather than weeks, in line with the puppy development stages recommended by FEDIAF and the latest scientific findings.

Note: If no feeding amount is given and your dog has not yet reached its final weight, refer to the information in the previous row. Once your dog reaches its final weight, you can switch to an adult food suitable for young dogs (e.g. Blue Mountain, Green Valley, Wild Pacific, etc.) If in doubt, we will be happy to advise you!
