Wolves hunt their prey from the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, all the way to the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. This provides them with meat and offal rich in nutrients, but also vegetables, fruit, berries, roots and herbs from the stomach contents of their prey. Cereals are not included here. In this way, the wolf takes in the vitamins, minerals, trace elements, enzymes and secondary plant substances it needs. The individual ingredients of DEEP GLADE PUPPY food were put together together with veterinarians to match the natural behaviour of the wolf as a predator and the latest findings on holistic canine nutrition. Wolfsblut dry food is therefore unique.

• Sweet potatoes: According to the American health authority CSPI, they are one of the richest vegetables thanks to their valuable fibre and high content of beta-carotene and vitamin E.
• Pumpkin: One of the lowest-calorie vegetables, it is rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, minerals and phytosterols. The fibre it contains is highly digestible and aids digestion.
• Peas: In addition to unsaturated fatty acids, the small protein crisps also contain plenty of fibre, which is good for digestion and can regulate blood sugar levels. According to the American health authority CSPI, they are one of the richest vegetables thanks to their valuable fibre and high content of beta-carotene and vitamin E.
• Jerusalem artichoke: Contains a high proportion of inulin, which acts as a prebiotic and stimulates the growth of healthy bacterial strains in the gut. A healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
• Blackberries: The berries contain a particularly high amount of magnesium and iron. Blackberries also outdo their local relatives in terms of provitamin A and vitamin E content.
• Elderberries: The blue-black berries contain plenty of vitamin C and folic acid in addition to anthocyanins. The pigment sambucyanin, which they contain, is also said to have an anti-inflammatory effect.
• Chokeberry: Chokeberry contains large amounts of plant substances that are said to have particular health benefits, such as flavonoids and phenolic acid.
• Linseed: The fibre and mucilage in the small seeds have a positive effect on digestion and have a high content of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids.
• Dandelion: It boasts many minerals, such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.

ATTENTION: The feeding table has been adjusted so that it is now given in months rather than weeks, in line with the puppy development stages recommended by FEDIAF and the latest scientific findings.

Note: If no feeding amount is given and your dog has not yet reached its final weight, follow the information given in the previous row. Once your dog reaches its final weight, you can switch to adult food suitable for young dogs (e.g. Blue Mountain, Green Valley, Wild Pacific, etc...) If in doubt, we will be happy to advise you!
