Bio Kill skin spray is a product against ectoparasites (fleas, lice, ticks, mites) in dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters and exotic birds; against insects (ants, flies, spiders) and it also serves for the disinsection of kennels and nests.

Composition:

Permethrinum 2.5 mg in 1 ml of spray.

Characteristics:

The mechanism of action of permethrin (which belongs to the group of synthetic pyrethroids) is based on affecting the ion channels of the parasites' nerve fibres. Disruption of the transport of Na+ and K+ ions in neuronal membranes causes depolarisation and increased release of neurotransmitters and the formation of a neuromuscular block in ectoparasites. It acts adulticidally against ectoparasites. It is an ectoparasiticide with very good efficacy.
Permethrin is not toxic to mammals, with the exception of cats, and birds, but it is toxic to fish, bees and reptiles.

Use:

Target animal species: dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, exotic birds.
The product is used against ectoparasites (fleas, lice, ticks, mites) in dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, exotic birds, against insects (ants, flies, spiders) and for the disinsection of kennels and nests.

Dog
- flea infestation, ctenocephalidosis, caused by fleas of the genus Ctenocephalides, especially C. canis and felis
- lice infestation, pediculosis, caused by Linognatus setosus,
- infestation by ticks and soft ticks Ixodes ricinus, Haemaphysalis concinna, Dermatocentor reticulatus, Dermatocentor marginatus
- cheyletiellosis caused by Cheyletiella yasguri
- infestation by chewing lice, trichodectosis, caused by chewing lice Trichodectes canis.

Exotic birds
- infestation by ticks Ixodes ricinus, Haemaphysalis concinna, Dermatocentor reticulatus, Dermatocentor marginatus
- infestation by soft ticks Argas vulgarit, Argas reflexus
- flea infestation caused by fleas Ceratophyllus gallinae
- scaly leg mite infestation (knemidocoptosis) caused by Knemidocoptes mutans, K. pilae
- red mite infestation (dermanyssosis) caused by Dermanyssus gallinae
- infestation by soft ticks caused by Argas vulgaris, Argas reflexus.

Hamster

Prevention of myiasis and infestation by stinging and nuisance insects
Mosquitoes: Culex pipiens, Aedes vexans
Blackflies: Eusimulium latipes, Prosimulium hirtipes, Odagmia ornata
Non-biting midges: Culicoides obsoletus, Culicoides pulicaris
Horseflies: Tabanus spp.
Flies: Musca domestica, Stomoxys calcitrans
Craneflies: Culicoides spp.
Environmental sanitation:
The spray also acts to prevent infestation by the species listed above.

Contraindications: Do not use in cats - the product is toxic to cats. Prevent possible contact of cats with dogs that have been treated with the product.

Adverse effects:

None known. It has no effect on pregnancy and lactation.

Warning:

Shake well before use.
The product may irritate the skin and mucous membranes and cause allergies.
After application, it is recommended to limit handling of the animals for 12-24 hours; in particular, it is not recommended to sleep with treated animals. Prevent children from coming into contact with the treated animal for 24 hours.

The product is toxic to bees, reptiles and fish. Do not contaminate watercourses with it and do not allow treated animals to swim in watercourses containing fish for 12 hours after treatment.
