Bolfo spray is a product for dogs and cats against fleas, ticks, lice and biting lice. It acts on the parasites directly in the coat of the affected animal and in its surroundings. The product provides protection for up to 5 months against fleas and 10 weeks against ticks.

Composition:

Propoxur 2.5 mg in 1 g of skin spray (solution).

Characteristics:

Propoxur is an ectoparasiticide with a carbamate mode of action. Under normal circumstances a nerve impulse proceeds in such a way that acetylcholine at the nerve synapse is broken down by cholinesterase, the synapse is released and another nerve impulse can take place.
Its toxicity to mammals is very low.

Use:

Target animal species: dogs, cats.

Treatment and prevention of infestation of dogs and cats by ticks (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus), fleas (Ctenocephalides canis, Ctenocephalides felis), lice (Lignathus setosus) and biting lice (Trichodectes canis). For the elimination of ectoparasites, including in the animals' surroundings.

Contraindications:

Do not use on injured skin, or on cachectic and sick animals.

Warning:

The product must not contaminate watercourses, as it may be dangerous to fish and other aquatic organisms.

Dosage:

Spray the affected areas against the direction of the coat for a few seconds until the coat is slightly damp. Areas where the animal spends time and other places where the presence of ectoparasites can be expected are sprayed over the whole surface for a few seconds from a distance of 50 cm. Pay increased attention to baskets, blankets, carpets, floors, gaps in the floor, corners and the back walls of furniture. Depending on the intensity of the infestation, repeat the treatment once or twice a week for several weeks.

Application:

In the case of a flea infestation, the animal's surroundings are often infested too (beds, carpets, curtains,..). It is therefore recommended to treat the animal's surroundings with suitable anti-flea products as well. This measure reduces infestation of the surroundings and extends protection against a new flea infestation.
