Chinchillas come from dry areas where they mainly have fibre and low-energy vegetation available; they have sensitive digestion and need a diet containing a large amount of fibre in order to thrive optimally and wear down their teeth.

The mix contains cereals in the form of puffed maize and puffed wheat. Processed in this way, thanks to the gelatinisation of the starch and other nutrients, they become highly digestible with better biological absorption.

The food is enriched with dried rosehips, which are not only healthy but also contribute to wearing down the teeth, because the animal must chew through the hard surface of the dry rosehip.
