Like dwarf rabbits, chinchillas and degus, guinea pigs are strict herbivores. Bunny Nature food is based on the natural feeding habits of animals. It is enriched with plants from their South American homeland – quinoa, amaranth, aronia and maca root, which support the well-being and health of young guinea pigs.

Thanks to a special production method, the herbs it contains are processed into different fibre lengths and thicknesses. Why?

While the continuously growing incisors and molars need a coarse fibrous structure for proper wear, the fine particles are good for the caecum, which serves as a fermentation chamber. A specific fibre length is also needed for healthy digestion.

The pellet shape is adapted to the specific animal species the food is intended for – while rabbits chew in a figure-of-eight motion, guinea pigs, degus and chinchillas move their jaw back and forth.
