Francodex Vitamin C Drops for Guinea Pigs 15ml
A dietary supplement for guinea pigs. Guinea pigs cannot synthesise vitamin C. A lack of vitamin C causes musculoskeletal disorders, loss of appetite and spontaneous fractures.
The recommended daily intake of vitamin C is 20 mg/kg, and 60 mg/kg for guinea pigs convalescing after illness and for guinea pigs during pregnancy and nursing.
Use: If vitamin C is administered every day, it covers the guinea pig's need for ascorbic acid. In addition, it is essential to provide them with a balanced diet.
Instructions for use: 10 drops into 100 ml of water (7 tablespoons) every day. Shake before use.
- Preventively: Dissolve 10 drops of vitamin C in 100 ml of water (7 tablespoons). Administer every day.
- During convalescence: Triple the dose to 30 drops in 100 ml of water for 10 days.
- During pregnancy and lactation of females: Triple the dose to 30 drops in 100 ml of water throughout the whole period.
Vitamin C is sensitive to light. It is recommended to change the drinking water every day. Vitamin C may be coloured, to a greater or lesser extent, orange/brown depending on the batch.
Composition: sodium bicarbonate, potassium phosphate.
Additives (per kg) Vitamin C - 30 000 mg
