Ham-Stake Wicker Twigs 100g
Purple willow twigs for rodents.
A plant material with rich medicinal properties. The most important include anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, antirheumatic, vessel-sealing, antithrombotic, antiseptic and astringent properties.
The wealth of medicinal properties of willow twigs is largely due to a substance called salicin, which is compared to a natural aspirin. Unlike chemically produced aspirin, its natural counterpart does not irritate the stomach or intestinal lining.
Willow twigs have been recognised in folk medicine for centuries. Today, even small rodents and rabbits can benefit from its advantages. Consuming willow bark has practically no side effects — quite the opposite. The tannins contained in willow bark enhance its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties and have astringent effects. Flavonoid glycosides, in turn, have a mild diuretic effect.
Given the natural need of rodents and rabbits to wear down their teeth, willow twigs can easily be called a healthy snack for your pet.
