A unique food supplement intended to support the development and maintenance of a healthy locomotor system in all categories of sport and working horses and ponies. The preparation contains the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulphate in a daily dose at the most favourable price on the market.
TYPE OF PREPARATION:Joint nutrition
TARGET ANIMAL SPECIES:Horse
Description of the preparation:
A viscous syrupy cloudy liquid, colourless to yellowish, with a characteristic fruity smell.
Indication:
The food supplement is specially intended to support the correct development and function of the locomotor system in all breeds of horse. It is used during increased demands on the locomotor system of horses, in the period of growth to strengthen and support quality development of the locomotor system, during training or working load, after injuries and after operations of the locomotor system. It can be used in all age categories of horses. The unique combination with manganese positively affects collagen metabolism, the formation of body connective tissues, especially the formation of cartilage. Vitamin E positively affects the course of osteoarthrosis and moreover acts as a strong antioxidant protecting the body from free radicals. Vitamin E at the same time increases the body's resistance during load states in the period of growth and during training load. The preparation can be administered all year round. It is intended for all sport, riding and working breeds of horse or ponies, as well as older horses to prolong the active years.
Composition:
Hyaluronan – chondroitin complex, invert sugar with a reduced glycaemic index (glucose, fructose), vitamin E (as DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate), manganese (as manganese sulphate, monohydrate), stabilisers: potassium sorbate, citric acid, poloxamer 407, xanthan gum, aroma, purified water.
Shelf life:
2 years. After first opening, use within 6 months.
Any unused veterinary preparation or waste that comes from this preparation must be disposed of according to local regulations.

Active substances contained in the preparation:
Hyaluronan – Chondroitin complex
Hyaluronic acid is a component of the synovial fluid in the joints and ensures the proper function of the locomotor system. It prevents undesirable friction in the joints, which is caused by a loss of synovial fluid. Hyaluronic acid contributes to the overall regeneration of the cartilage and its molecules create a protective layer on the surface of the cartilage. It functions as a shock absorber during movement. Due to increased load on the joints and with increasing age, the production of hyaluronic acid inside the body decreases and it is necessary to supply this substance. In a young healthy organism, hyaluronic acid is created from the glucosamines that the body takes in food. Due to the ageing process this ability decreases, and therefore it is necessary to supply hyaluronic acid, ideally in the form of an oral emulsion. This dosage form ensures maximum efficacy and at the same time easy and safe application compared with the injectable form of application.
Chondroitin sulphate belongs to the group of polysaccharides. Its main effect is to increase the permeability of the cartilage tissue to nutrients and subsequently to ensure the nutrition of the cartilage. It aids the regeneration of the cartilage through extravascular supply. Chondroitin sulphate enables the removal of the waste products of metabolism taking place inside the cartilage, thereby contributing to its regeneration and maintaining its optimal function. A lack of chondroitin causes an insufficient supply to the cartilage, the consequence of which is damaged and degenerated cells. This fact aids the development and formation of arthrosis. Besides these physiological properties, chondroitin sulphate is significantly involved in influencing inflammatory processes in the joint. Osteoarthritis and osteoarthrosis are degenerative joint diseases characterised by varying degrees of destruction of the joint cartilage. Clinically, these diseases then manifest as pain and dysfunction of the affected joint.
Vitamin E
The most significant function of vitamin E is undoubtedly its antioxidant effect. During metabolic processes in the cells, free oxygen radicals arise, which in increased quantities cause oxidative stress, and so the cells are damaged by the oxidation of polyunsaturated acids in the cell membrane. In this case it is necessary to supply vitamin E to the body. Vitamin E demonstrably slows the process of cell ageing. In the body, vitamin E participates in the renewal and support of the locomotor system, accelerates the healing process after injuries and positively affects the growth of muscle tissue.
Manganese
Manganese is one of the significant micro elements important for certain physiological functions in the body. The specific function of manganese is applied in the synthesis of glycosaminoglycans in the cartilage. Manganese has an essential function in the synthesis and renewal of cartilage tissue. It positively affects the growth and development of bones and supports the mineralisation of the skeleton.
Recommended dosage:
To achieve maximum effect it is recommended to administer the preparation for at least 30 days, ideally before the morning feed or together with the feed. The preparation can be administered all year round; we recommend at least one to two 30-day cycles a year depending on the horse's load.
All categories of horses: 10 ml/day for 30 days continuously
All categories of ponies: 10 ml/day for 30 days continuously
Method and route of administration:
Orally.
Pour the daily dose into the enclosed cup and add it to the feed, or draw the daily dose from the cup into the enclosed applicator and apply directly into the oral cavity. Recommendation: Do not draw the preparation into the applicator directly from the bottle, thereby preventing contamination of the contents of the bottle.
Notice for consumers
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Shake before use. Any cloudiness is natural and is not a defect of the preparation.
Application of the preparation in increased doses:
It is suitable for animals with chronic disease of the locomotor system or for animals with high demands on the locomotor system (sport horses in the period of preparation for a race, working horses and older horses). For these listed groups it is possible to administer the preparation for the first ten days at a dosage of 50 ml (or 30 ml for a pony).
With regular use of the preparation HYALCHONDRO EC plus, there is an improvement in mobility and to a certain extent also relief from pain, which accompanies disease or degenerative changes of the locomotor system of horses. The process of regeneration of the locomotor system and the simultaneous elimination of arthritic pain takes place individually, depending among other things on the degree of damage, physical condition and age of the animal. Already after four weeks of administration of the preparation there is a demonstrable improvement of the problems and relief from pain. In the case of recurring problems it is recommended to use the preparation again after a 3–4 month break.
During the production of the preparation HYALCHONDRO EC plus, the production procedure is followed and the quality of the input raw materials is carefully checked. The production process is regularly supervised not only by the producer, but also by the Institute for State Control of Veterinary Biologicals and Medicaments.
Packaging:
2 x 225 ml
Storage:
Store at a temperature up to 25 °C. Protect from light. For animals only. Keep out of the reach of children. The measuring cup and syringe are part of the packaging
