Clorexyderm® Oto Più is a liquid, non-greasy cleaning agent that leaves no residues in the ear canal.It is used for cleaning and disinfecting the ear canal of dogs and cats, and is also suitable for cleaning the ears before local treatment of otitis. The preparation can also be used as prevention of recurrences of otitis caused by bacteria and yeasts.
Using the applicator, fill the ear canal with the solution. Make sure that the nozzle is not in direct contact with the skin. Gently massage the base of the ear to more easily remove the wax plug and impurities, which you then remove using a cotton bud or a finger wrapped in gauze. In the case of acute otitis, repeat daily for 10 – 14 days. Then continue with maintenance treatment: two to three times a week for one month and then once a month.
If the amount of wax increases, a wax plug forms or exudate reappears, switch back to daily application.
- Chlorhexidine digluconate in a concentration of 0.06% acts bacteriostatically, is not inactivated by the presence of pus or other organic substances and is not irritating.
- Lactobionic acid - is composed of substances naturally present in the skin. it has hydrating properties. It acidifies the solution, thereby increasing its antimicrobial effect.
- Salicylic acid causes keratolysis, selectively disrupting the keratin protein chains present in corneocytes. It also penetrates inflammatory lesions, where it acts as an antibacterial and anti-inflammatory astringent.
