Kattovit Renal Pouch is developed for cats that have diseased kidneys. Kidney disease is not only a consequence of a previous illness, but is also influenced by factors such as a poor diet and improper behaviour. The most important condition for managing this disease is an adequate drinking regime.
In some individuals, food that contains a large amount of protein can cause kidney disease. Kattovit Renal Pouch therefore has a reduced protein content, but protein is the main source of energy. In this food, a sufficient amount of energy is provided by calories that are not of animal origin. Potassium citrate can prevent the formation of urinary stones (oxalate stones / oxalate crystals) by neutralising the acidic pH of the urine. The amount of phosphorus and sodium is also lower in this food. The essential taurine, vitamins and minerals give this food everything a cat needs for its active, healthy life.
Composition: Meat and animal derivatives (incl. 6% duck), cereals, derivatives of vegetable origin, oils and fats, minerals (0.2% potassium citrate). Protein sources: chicken (7%), liver (12%), poultry liver (4%), duck (6%) rice (0.8%).
