LEONARDO® Kitten was developed with the needs of the very youngest kittens in mind, as well as the whole subsequent growth period. To ease weaning, it contains dairy products, and for proper development, a high amount of tender chicken meat.

Like all mammal young, a kitten does not have a fully functional immune system. Moreover, kittens are more susceptible to infections than, for example, puppies. In the period after weaning, a kitten's defences are at their least effective for a while, as the body lacks antibodies from the mother's organism and milk, while its own system is only just developing (the so-called immunity gap period). To support the development of a strong immune system, LEONARDO® Kitten contains the ProVital complex.

Its function is based on beta-glucans, natural substances extracted from yeast or fungi. They have been shown, both in laboratory and clinical studies, to have a very significant effect on strengthening the development of an individual's immune system, as well as on achieving the maximum possible function of the cellular component of the immune system. So with every portion of kibble, your kitten receives, besides all the nutrients it needs, an effective protector against infections too.

The food also has valuable Antarctic krill (small marine crustaceans) added to it. This is a source of astaxanthin, a very potent antioxidant that protects against inflammation and supports a strong immune system. Krill is rich in glucosamine, which nourishes cartilage and joints. It is also a source of omega-3 fatty acids, which are present here in the form of phospholipids, giving them better bioavailability.
