LEONARDO® Kitten has been developed with the needs of the smallest kittens and the whole subsequent growth period in mind. To make weaning easier it contains dairy products, and for proper development a high amount of tender chicken meat.

Like all mammal offspring, a kitten does not have a fully functional immune system. On top of that, kittens are more susceptible to infections than, for example, puppies. In the period after weaning the kitten's immune defences are for some time at their weakest; the body lacks antibodies from the mother's organism and mother's milk, and its own system is only just developing (the so-called immunity window period). To support the development of a strong immune system, LEONARDO® Kitten contains the ProVital complex.

The basis of its function are beta-glucans, natural substances extracted from yeasts or fungi. Both in the laboratory and clinically, they have been shown to have a very significant effect on strengthening the development of the individual's immune system, as well as on inducing the maximum possible function of the cellular component of the immune system. With every portion of kibble your kitten therefore receives, in addition to all the nutrients it needs, an effective protector against infections.

Valuable Antarctic krill (tiny marine crustaceans) is also added to the food. It is a source of astaxanthin, a very powerful antioxidant that protects against inflammation and looks after strong immunity. Krill is rich in glucosamine, which nourishes the cartilage and joints. It is also a source of omega-3 fatty acids, which here are in the form of phospholipids, which have better bioavailability.

ProVital - reduces sensitivity and increases the cat's resistance to disease. This stimulating effect is especially beneficial in sensitive cats and kittens.

STAY Clean™ - this is a complex of substances applied to the surface of the kibble so that, even during the short time the kibble is in contact with the teeth, it cleans them of dental plaque.
