The unique structure of diatomaceous earth gives it the ability to bind a range of harmful substances. Thanks to these excellent absorption properties, it is able to bind everything that does not belong in the digestive tract, and it acts as an enterosorbent during diarrhoea. Feeding guide:
Small dog, cat, puppy: 1 teaspoon daily for 3–4 weeks

Diatomaceous earth is a rock formed mainly from the shells of diatoms (single-celled algae). In addition to diatom shells, natural diatomaceous earth also contains clay minerals such as illite and kaolinite. As a dietary supplement, a very fine, specially purified diatomaceous earth with the highest possible content of diatom shells is used. Diatomaceous earth used for food purposes should be completely free of an earthy taste and smell.

Diatomaceous earth as a natural insecticide and anthelmintic:

External parasites (fleas, etc.)
By sprinkling it on your dog's skin, you ensure that parasites come into contact with particles that act on them like "fine files" (abrasively) while also "drawing out" (absorbing) water from them. Parasites are thus eliminated in a purely mechanical way (abrading and drying out), with no chemicals involved. However, the powder should be handled with care, it should not be inhaled!

Internal parasites (nematodes - roundworms, etc.)
Diatomaceous earth is also used in the fight against internal parasites. Again, the parasites are combated mechanically: the abrasive particles of diatomaceous earth damage the parasites' cuticle on contact, leading to their drying out and eventually the death of the parasite. However, for diatomaceous earth to be as effective as possible, it should be given for at least 30 days. This ensures that you get rid of all newly hatched eggs (for example, the developmental cycle of the dog roundworm takes 3-4 weeks).
