A low carbohydrate intake helps control blood glucose levels after meals in order to facilitate the overall management of diabetes mellitus.

A reduced energy intake contributes to an optimal body build and minimises insulin resistance associated with being overweight.

This food has a low level of rapidly soluble carbohydrates.
