JLP Meadow Hay with Parsley and Chamomile 15 l
Fragrant hay with a hint of parsley and chamomile for rodents.
Hay in a rabbit's diet is the basis of the feed ration. Preferably meadow hay (a mix of various meadow grasses and herbs) and dust-free (otherwise breathing problems may occur)
Composition: meadow hay, dried parsley, chamomile flower, red clover.
Hay in a hay rack loses its scent during the day. It is a good idea to top up the hay rack throughout the day.
The fibre contained in hay supports intestinal peristalsis and maintains the microbiological balance in the gut. This fibre is vital for rabbits (among other things, it helps with the elimination of hair swallowed during daily grooming). Rabbits have to chew hay for longer, which wears down their molars. It contains vitamin D (thanks to UV radiation) and beta-carotene (a precursor of vitamin A). It has a beneficial effect on reproduction. The digestible fibre in hay is a source of energy and replaces starch.
