What could be more English than black tea?
Legend has it that an Earl named Charles Grey brought this tea recipe from China. This elegant drink immediately became a favourite of high society and has remained so to this day, especially at five o'clock in the afternoon. It is a black tea with a great tradition and pure organic bergamot oil (a citrus fruit), which is blended into the delicate black tea and gives it fruity notes. After being hand-picked, the tea leaves are mechanically rolled between two rotating plates, the cell sap is released, and fermentation follows (the natural oxidation of the cell sap in the air). Through fermentation the leaf changes colour to brownish-black. The leaves are then dried with hot air and sorted by leaf size and quality.
