To activate the device, pull out the tab. 4 red flashes mean the device is switched on. You can check it is still working at any time by pressing the button and confirming the LED flashes in response. Securely attach the device to the child's clothing (e.g. a belt clip, shoelaces, blankets, a pushchair) and make sure the child cannot remove and swallow it. Do not put the device in a pocket or bag, as this would block the emission of ultrasonic waves! Under normal temperatures, the device can keep ticks away for 6 - 12 months after activation.
