A nutritional supplement for dogs and cats with a high content of essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals intended to support skin function in cases of dermatosis, itching, hair loss or any other dermatological sign of allergy.

Skin conditions in dogs and cats are very common and appear in the form of dermatitis, itching, erythema, hair loss, skin keratinisation and many others.

WeDerm® is a complex rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins and minerals that provide unique and balanced support for healthy skin and coat.

Polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (EFAs) are precursors of the main components of cell membrane phospholipids. They are indispensable in the diet of dogs and cats, and are generally lacking in the diet and in many feeding regimes.

There are two main groups of essential fatty acids that affect the skin and coat:

Omega 3, derived from plants, particularly concentrated in borage oil, and omega 6 from marine sources such as fish oils. WeDerm® uses the purest and richest sources of Omega 3 and 6 in the correct combination and balance, which has an anti-inflammatory and regenerative effect.

WeDerm® guarantees a synergistic anti-inflammatory effect, reduces the need for steroids, reduces inflammation and itching, and improves the skin's barrier function by strengthening the intercellular epidermal ceramide lipid layers.

LINOLEIC ACID (LA)
Essential for maintaining and creating the intercellular epidermal ceramide lipid layer. This lipid layer creates a barrier effect and controls transcutaneous water loss.

GAMMA-LINOLENIC ACID (GLA)
GLA supports the synthesis of anti-inflammatory eicosanoids such as PG-1 prostaglandin. It preserves skin integrity and enables proper keratinocyte maturation.

EICOSAPENTAENOIC ACID (EPA) AND DOCOSAHEXAENOIC ACID (DHA)
Support anti-inflammatory eicosanoids such as PG-3 prostaglandin and LT-5 leukotriene. Reduces the synthesis of other highly inflammatory eicosanoids.

ZINC, BIOTIN AND B-COMPLEX VITAMINS
Zinc is an indispensable cofactor that maintains the balance between the skin's collagen fibres, and its deficiency is associated with dermatoses characteristic of certain breeds. Together with vitamin B, it reduces the incidence of alopecia, erythema and pruritus.

VITAMIN E AND VITAMIN C
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant and vitamin C is a water-soluble antioxidant; both are able to reduce damage caused by free oxygen radicals. They protect epidermal cell membranes from induced oxidative damage.

VITAMIN A
Essential for cell renewal and activation of epidermal cell keratinisation. Its deficiency is often observed in cats and certain dog breeds.

VITAMIN D3
Plays an important role in the balance of skin and coat, especially in older animals.
