The formation of trichobezoars – that is, balls of swallowed fur in the digestive tract – can be prevented in three ways: regular brushing, which reduces the amount of hair the cat swallows while grooming; feeding a suitable food whose composition helps fur pass naturally through the digestive tract; and also using a paste designed to prevent and address hairballs.
WeMalt paste is flavoured so that cats take it willingly. It can be given directly into the mouth, mixed into the food, or simply spread on a front paw – the cat will then lick it off itself. Thanks to its exceptional taste, it is well tolerated even by fussy cats.
