Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is very common in older dogs and cats and is one of the most widespread kidney conditions in geriatric patients. CKD is diagnosed when there is functional or structural kidney damage lasting longer than three months.
Most patients with CKD suffer structural and functional losses. However, these changes are not always obvious, and controlling pre-renal and post-renal causes can have a very positive impact on managing the disease. The progressive nature of CKD requires careful clinical monitoring, and treatment must be adapted and adjusted as needed.
It is essential to control aspects of the disease such as proteinuria, hyperphosphataemia, hypertension, uraemia and the inflammatory processes leading to fibrosis.

Dosage and administration:
- Tablets - The recommended daily dose for cats is 1/2 tablet, and for dogs 1/2 tablet for every 5 kg of the animal's body weight, before or after food.
WeNefro Advanced should be administered orally according to the recommended dosage in the table. It is recommended to consult a veterinary surgeon before use. This product is not a substitute for a varied diet.
