The individual ingredients of the WESTERN CAPE food were put together with veterinarians to match the natural predatory behaviour of the wolf and the findings on holistic dog nutrition. Wolfsblut dry food is therefore unique.

• Banana : This superfruit contains an ideal mix of vitamins (B2, B3, B6, B7, C, K) as well as magnesium, iron and potassium. B vitamins play an important role in the central nervous system.
• Blackberries : These berries contain a particularly high amount of magnesium and iron. Blackberries also outperform their local relatives in provitamin A and vitamin E content.
• Raspberries : Raspberries are the best source of iron among berries. They also contain the minerals phosphorus, calcium and magnesium, as well as B vitamins and vitamin C.
• Dandelion : It provides an abundance of minerals such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.
• Jerusalem artichoke : Contains a high proportion of inulin, which acts as a prebiotic and stimulates the growth of healthy bacterial strains in the gut. Healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
• Ginseng : It is used as a medicinal plant in Asia. The reason is the plant’s high nutrient content, being rich in amino acids, vitamins, copper, iron and calcium.
