Wolves hunt their prey from the Rocky Mountains of North America, the Arctic tundra, the mountains and forests of Europe, to the deserts and steppes of Central Asia. The individual ingredients of WILD DUCK LARGE BREED food were put together jointly with vets to match the natural predatory behaviour of the wolf and the findings on holistic canine nutrition. Wolfsblut dry food is therefore unique.

• Sweet potatoes : According to the American health authority CSPI, these are one of the richest vegetables thanks to their valuable fibre and high content of beta-carotene and vitamin E.
• Pumpkin : One of the lowest-calorie vegetables, rich in vitamin C, beta-carotene, minerals and phytosterols. The fibre it contains is highly digestible and aids digestion.
• Jerusalem artichoke : Contains a high proportion of inulin, which acts as a prebiotic and stimulates the growth of healthy bacterial strains in the gut. A healthy gut flora has a positive effect on the immune system.
• Blackberries : These berries contain a particularly high amount of magnesium and iron. Blackberries even outperform their local relatives in provitamin A and vitamin E content.
• Elderberries : These blue-black berries contain, in addition to anthocyanins, a lot of vitamin C and folic acid. The pigment sambucyanin they contain is also said to have an anti-inflammatory effect.
• Chokeberries : Chokeberry contains a large amount of plant compounds said to have particular health benefits, such as flavonoids and phenolic acid.
• Linseed : The fibre and mucilage in these small seeds have a positive effect on digestion and have a high content of polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids.
• Dandelion : Provides an impression of many minerals, such as magnesium, folic acid, manganese and vitamin K. This vitamin plays an important role in blood clotting.
• Fennel : Rich in essential oils that are beneficial for digestion and the gut. It also contains vital substances such as potassium, vitamin A, folic acid, vitamin C and silicic acid.
