Yoggies VET Veggie Meat-Free, Cold-Pressed Kibble with Probiotics 5kg
Yoggies VET Veggie meat-free veterinary kibble with probiotics is a plant-based dietary food.
A range of cold-pressed kibble with probiotics and no chemicals – Yoggies VET has been developed with vets and tested on dogs with intestinal, immune and other digestive problems, as well as food and other allergies.
This food, with a high content of both prebiotics and probiotics, is suitable for dogs whose digestion isn't quite right, who have trouble digesting all the available forms of animal protein, or who suffer from other problems that rule out an animal component in their food. A dog is still a carnivorous omnivore, so it generally needs a high proportion of meat in its diet. However, if for some reason your dog cannot tolerate an animal component, this kibble's composition is able to provide it with all the nutrients it needs from plant sources.
When to introduce this food without consulting a vet:
- As part of cleansing the body – for example after poisoning or other digestive irritation,
- when treating diarrhoea, itchy skin (or other problems) where an allergy/adverse reaction to any animal protein is suspected,
- to help address dysbiosis – to improve the gut microbiome (the food contains large amounts of both prebiotics and probiotics),
- during an elimination diet to identify problematic animal proteins, where itchy skin is a symptom – we recommend introducing the food for 8 weeks and giving nothing else, not even treats – if the problem disappears, the cause should be sought among the ingredients of the previous food. (This food is ideal for dogs that have had no previous exposure to peas or potatoes),
- after an elimination diet, as the first food to test whether the problem lies in the plant component,
- as treats for dogs where an increased protein intake is not desirable (urological problems, impaired kidney function, etc.) – not suitable as a food for these dogs, but fine as a treat,
- as a detox for the body (mainly thanks to ingredients such as milk thistle, peat and nettle),
- for dogs allergic to B.A.R.F. – suitable as an alternative when travelling (it's best to try it out at home first), as a treat, as a quickly available food option, or to supplement the plant component,
- combined with other food, e.g. for weight loss – it provides satiety and adds fibre, while also reducing the overall intake of macronutrients,
- to help settle digestion after gastroenteritis in a dog allergic to several types of animal protein.
When to consult a vet before introducing this food:
For urological problems – with urinary tract infections, or where struvite (crystals) or uroliths are present in the urine.
Combining VET Veggie with your dog's current kibble is a great way to lighten the diet, cleanse the body, or adjust the way it's fed.
If you decide to combine VET Veggie kibble with your dog's current Yoggies kibble and aren't sure of the correct dose, please contact our nutrition adviser, who will be happy to help with dosing and take your dog's individual needs into account. Email: vyziva@yoggies.cz
