FRONTLINE SPOT ON for dogs S (2-10kg) - 3x0.67ml

Frontline Spot-On for dogs S is a product against infestation by fleas, ticks and biting lice. A pipette for a dog of a smaller breed weighing up to 10 kg.

The pack contains 3 pipettes. The stated effect applies to the whole pack; one pipette is effective against fleas for 8 weeks and against ticks for 4 weeks.

Indications

• Treatment and prevention of infestation by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) and ticks (Rhipicephalus spp., Dermatocentor spp., Ixodes spp.) in dogs.
• Treatment and control of flea bite allergy (FAD) in dogs.
• Prevention and treatment of biting lice infestation in dogs.

Contraindications

• Due to the absence of data on use of the product, do not apply to puppies younger than 8 weeks and/or weighing less than 2 kg.
• Do not apply to sick animals (general illness, fever) or to animals in convalescence.
• Do not use on rabbits due to the risk of adverse reactions up to death.
• This product is intended for dogs.
• Do not use on cats, as application may lead to overdose.

Side effects
If licking occurs, short-term hypersalivation may appear, caused by the nature of the vehicle. Among very rare side effects, transient skin reactions at the application site (discolouration and hair loss, itching, reddening of the skin) and general itching or hair loss have been recorded after use. Exceptionally, hypersalivation, reversible neurological symptoms (hyperaesthesia, depression, nervousness), vomiting or breathing problems have been recorded. Beware of overdose.

Composition
FRONTLINE SPOT ON DOG S:
Fipronilum 0.067g, Butylhydroxyanisolum 0.134 mg, Butylhydroxytoluenum 0.067 mg, Ethanolum 0.067 ml, Excipient qsp 0.67 ml

Dosage and method of administration
Due to the absence of studies on the safety of the product, the minimum interval between applications is 4 weeks.

Route of administration: external application to the skin.

Dosage
One pipette 0.67 ml (S) for a dog weighing up to 10 kg

This ensures the minimum recommended dose of fipronil of 6.7 mg/kg.
Monthly treatment is recommended in the case of a high risk of repeated flea infestation, if the dog is allergic to flea bites, when tick infestation needs to be controlled or when the dog is bathed frequently using hypoallergenic or emollient shampoos. In areas where there is no risk of serious flea and tick infestation, Frontline Spot On Dogs can be applied every two to three months.

Hold the pipette upright and snap off the tip. Part the animal's coat in the area of the withers in front of the shoulder blades so that the skin is visible. Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and press several times so that the contents empty directly onto the skin in one spot.

Notice

• It is important to ensure the product is applied to a place from which the animal cannot lick it off, and to prevent the animals from licking each other after application.
• Bathing/shampooing the animal is not recommended for 2 days after application, nor is bathing more often than once a week.
• Individual ticks may still attach. Therefore the transmission of infectious diseases cannot be completely ruled out if conditions are unfavourable.
• Use during pregnancy and lactation
• Frontline Spot On Dogs can be applied to breeding and pregnant bitches and to bitches in lactation.

Warning
Avoid contact of the product with the animal's eyes.
Special precautions for persons administering the medicinal product to animals
– This product may cause irritation of the mucous membrane and eyes. Therefore avoid contact of this product with the mouth and eyes.
Animals or persons with known hypersensitivity to insecticides or alcohol should not come into contact with Frontline Spot On. Take care to avoid finger contact with the contents. If this occurs, wash your hands with soap and water. In the event of accidental eye contact, carefully rinse the eye with clean water. Wash your hands after use.
Do not handle treated animals and prevent children from playing with them until the applied product has dried. It is therefore recommended not to treat animals during the day but early in the evening, and not to allow freshly treated animals to sleep with their owners, especially children.
Do not smoke, drink or eat during application of the product.

Do not store above 30°C.
