The terrarium fountain serves as a drinking source for reptiles kept as pets (e.g. chameleons, crested geckos) and at the same time as a humidifier for the terrarium's climate. Inside the fountain there is a small centrifugal water pump and an activated-carbon filtration unit. In the open upper section there is a plant that is continuously sprayed with water by the pump, thereby becoming a water source for those reptile species that lick water from leaves and do not drink from a bowl. The plant is made from ABS plastic, which is noted for its material and colour stability.
