How it works

The device emits ultrasonic pulses that are imperceptible to people and pets, but disturb ticks and fleas, thereby keeping them away from children. TICKLESS® is non-toxic, does not use or release any chemicals or odours, and is safe for everyone. The operating range is approximately 1.5 metres. The device is primarily intended for preventive purposes.

TICKLESS® technology has undergone rigorous testing. Its effectiveness has been proven by a clinical study at the Faculty of Veterinary Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the University of Camerino in Italy.

Additional information

Warning: Do not put the device in a pocket or a bag, as this would restrict the ultrasonic waves it emits! In areas with a heavy tick presence, 100% protection is not guaranteed. At normal temperatures the device can repel ticks for at least 6 months from activation. Due to the product's small size, it is recommended to use it under parental supervision. Secure it properly to prevent a risk of swallowing.

Use: To activate the device, pull out the tab. 4 red flashes mean the device is switched on. You can check it is still working at any time by pressing the button and confirming that the LED flashes in response. Securely attach the device to the child's clothing (e.g. a belt clip, shoelaces, a pushchair) and make sure the child cannot remove and swallow it.

Ticks and fleas: What are they and what danger do they pose to pets and people?

Ticks and fleas are ectoparasites, meaning parasites that attach to the surface of the body. Protecting ourselves and our pets from these pests is essential to prevent the spread of diseases and infections. The main disease vectors are ticks in particular (Rhipicephalus sanguineus). They suck the blood of infected animals and transmit spirochetes to new hosts, which they later attach to. Ticks indiscriminately attack all warm-blooded creatures, including humans. Their bite is not painful, so it often goes unnoticed. Once embedded in the skin, they act like a pump. They continuously suck in and expel blood, so a fairly large amount of blood can become contaminated quite quickly.
