A mineral preparation for dogs and cats suffering from temporary digestive problems (acute diarrhoea).
Properties:
- The active substances in Attapectin are attapulgite and pectin, which protect the walls of the digestive system, bind bacterial toxins and intestinal fermentation products, and transport them through the digestive tract.
- With long-term use, attapulgite and pectin may also bind useful substances, e.g. concurrently administered medications, vitamins and iron. Therefore, it is not recommended to give Attapectin earlier than three hours after medication.
Composition:
Attapulgite 49.6%, carrier 41.6%, pectin (E 440) 8.8%.
Nutrient content: Dry matter 94%, Fat in dry matter 1.7%, Fibre 35%, Ash 47%
Administration and dosage:
- Attapectin is used for temporary digestive problems in dogs and cats.
- The animal must also have a sufficient amount of fluids available (at least 0.5-1 dl/kg/day), water or preferably an electrolyte drink (e.g. Nutrisal®).
- The need for fluids increases if the animal vomits or suffers from severe diarrhoea.

Tablets can be crushed and dissolved in water if needed.
