Properties
Nutrisal is a preparation intended to restore normal hydration and maintain the balance of fluids and salts in animals. Mixing the powder with water creates an isotonic solution. Glucose increases the absorption of sodium and water.
Nutrisal powder is used to restore normal hydration and correct electrolyte deficiency in dogs and cats, e.g. in connection with intestinal diseases. If a dog or cat suffers from diarrhoea, it loses large amounts of fluids, and the animal may become dehydrated. In this case, the animal needs electrolytes added to its drinking water, which are contained in optimal amounts in Nutrisal. In connection with diarrhoeal diseases, we also recommend giving dogs and cats Aptus Attapectin tablets, which bind the products of intestinal fermentation. In addition, fluids can be replaced by giving Nutrisal electrolyte solution after heavy exertion or while travelling by car in hot weather.

Administration and dosage:
Mix one sachet of Nutrisal with one litre of drinking water or add it to the food. Keep the Nutrisal electrolyte solution within reach of the animal so it can drink whenever it wants. If the animal is not in good condition and does not take in fluids on its own, it must be given fluids for several days. The average fluid requirement for animals is approximately 0.5-1 dl per kilogram per day. Usually, at least this amount of Nutrisal solution is given. Nutrisal solution is given often and in small amounts. Cats normally drink less than dogs.
If the animal does not take in fluids on its own, it can occasionally be given using a clean plastic syringe into the animal's mouth. Make sure that the animal swallows between the individual small doses of the solution during this application. Do not lift the animal's head too high.
