The Beaphar Canishield® anti-parasite collar for medium and small dogs is a highly effective weapon against parasites. It has a long-lasting effect and thus protects your pet:

• against ticks for 6 months
• against fleas for 16 weeks
• against biting midges for 5.5 months (prevention of leishmaniasis infection*)

Active substance: deltamethrin

Instructions for use: Fasten the anti-parasite collar around the dog's neck, push it into the buckle and cut off the excess. Leave a gap of about two fingers between the neck and the collar.
If a cat lives in the household, the dog can wear Canishield without any problem, but it must not be in direct contact with the cat (e.g. the same bed, the cat should not lick the dog, etc.)

* Leishmaniasis is an incurable parasitic disease that can also be transmitted to humans. It is spread by insects, e.g. sandflies (genus Phlebotomus), mainly in southern countries, which is why Canishield is used as a „holiday collar“.
The incubation period ranges from three months to several years. It usually manifests as fevers, hair loss, skin lesions and ulcers, and weight loss, and the internal organs become affected. Treatment must be lifelong.
